Chrissy Teigen Style Steal: Maternity Edition

John Legend has always been one of my favorite singers. “Ordinary People” will forever be one of my favorite songs; It speaks to my soul! Before his marriage, I never even saw nor heard of Chrissy Teigen. I later found out she was a model, but I never paid her much attention. Then I saw her on lip sync battle, and thought she seems fun. Then I started seeing pictures of John and her and realized she's slaying the fashion game. She later got pregnant and the slay continued. Here we are with baby number two and Chrissy is still killin' it. With all that being said, I just had to do my first style steal: maternity edition on Chrissy Teigen. Let me know how I did!

This first look is one of my faves. I saw it and thought, I already have all the pieces for this perfect look recreation, and can't wait to put this on. However; I get home, pull the clothes out, and they don't even fit me anymore. Sad thing is, this shirt use to be oversized on me. lol I still liked the look, I just had to improvise a little. Since I can't button it I just let my under shirt show. My blazer isn't oversized like hers, but you get the picture. My blazer, button up, leggings, and backpack purse are all from goodwill, the boots and undershirt from Ross. I've had all of these items for a while, but I've never worn them together. I opted for the headwrap only because my hair isn't done, don't judge me. This is definitely a cute look whether pregnant or not and I'll definitely be wearing it once this belly is gone and I can button my shirt again.

Outfit two is dressy casual. I can't fit in any of my jeans anymore so I chose this pair of grandma drawstring pants that I found at goodwill forever ago. I purchased them to diy, but haven't gotten around to it. They aren't like regular denim so I'm not sure how well they will distress hence why I didn't try it in this lookbook. My undershirt is the same tank from the previous look, blazer trench from goodwill, heels are available for sell on my poshmark, but I'm contemplating keeping them now. I rarely wear heels, so I definitely wouldn't wear them while pregnant if I was going out, but this look is super chic.

Look number three is super simple, yet still cute. I don't own a lot of white period, so I opted to use this super cute double split maxi that is super breathable and cute. As stated earlier I'm not big on heels so I put on some strappy sandals instead of strappy heels. Then I threw on my denim duster and the look is complete. Simplicity at it's finest. This is ideal when getting dressed being pregnant. You may notice I haven't had on shades in any of these looks, but that's only because the weather here sucks right now and the sun is barely out. Sadly I don't even have many sunglasses anymore.

I like to call look number four hot mama! The LBD (little black dress), black leather jacket, and strappy black heels. Black definitely makes you look more slim, and looks good on any complexion for many different occasions. I'm sure many of you already have this look on hand, and have maybe already worn it whether pregnant or not. Who says you can't be sexy with a belly?

Look 5 is another all black look. Having an afro I don't own many hats, so I just used a fedora in place of her cute little hat (My hair is in twists to fit under the hat). My dress is an oversized men's button up that use to fit like a dress, obviously it's on the hoochie momma side now that my belly makes it a few inches shorter so I definitely would add leggings if I was going out anywhere. I got this beautiful woven crossbody bag from goodwill forever ago and it is still my favorite go-to bag and perfect for the busy mommy. I can't see her shoes well, but I see they are around her ankles so I chose this pair of low heels purchased from an IG shop to keep the look casual. I wish my shirt dress was silk like hers. I'll definitely be on the hunt for one the next time I go thrifting.

This bonus look is my absolute favorite and lil baby's dad loves it too! It is super sexy without looking slutty. I'd definitely wear this on date night with the bae. I chose this olive button up from ross because it breathes more and is less dressy and stiff than the white one I own. This high split maxi skirt (also from ross) is one of my faves, but I had yet to wear it while pregnant, and I will definitely start now. These animal print and black color/pattern block chunky heels with a peep toe are also a pair of my faves that I purchased from goodwill a while back. Throw them all together and BOOM, issa hot look!
Chrissy had so many cute maternity outfits, it was hard to choose which ones to recreate. She is definitely going to be my style inspiration for the remainder of my pregnancy... if I actually get dressed that is! LoL
