I cannot believe my big baby is 5 already. The time is flying by. I just registered her for kindergarten and I was NOT ready; however, she is so excited about starting big girl school. Since 5 is such a milestone, it was only right that we took a trip doing the tiktok index card trend. Here’s how it went:
First was the location. I came across a Facebook post of the St Louis aquarium last year, so I knew I wanted to take the girls there. They both love sharks and the water, so it was a no brainer. It was not as cool as the pictures made it look, but I loved that they got to touch sting rays, starfish jelly fish, the little fish that eat your dead skin, and even help feed some fish. I was bummed that the otters were asleep so we didn’t get to see their show. Our visit got cut short due to the weather, but I think they still liked seeing all the sea creatures.
Next was food. She loves noodles, so it was either the Spaghetti Factory or Sen Thai. She chose Sen Thai. When we got there they were closed due to water issues of some sort. In the process of getting there, there was a huge storm and tornado. I’m talking sirens going off, windshield wipers on high, and hazards on while driving type of weather. We ended up just grabbing some fast food and going back to the hotel to take cover.
For gifts it was either build-bear or the mall. She drew build a bear. This was our first time ever going. She built a little diva stuffie that she named Emily. She picked everything out herself, too. She is definitely my daughter choosing sparkly heels and a full outfit. Emily is a cat, but has the voice of Skye from paw patrol, and she smells like strawberries. This was such a fun experience. Cool fact, we built her bear at the very first build-a-bear store ever built.
For our activities the options were the magic house or a bounce house. I was hoping for the magic house because it looked cool and we don’t have one in Tennessee, but we had so much fun at the bounce house. As you see, one of her friends drove in to surprise her too. We jumped until we dropped for sure. We also took advantage of the heated hotel pool during our stay.
Dessert options was Cookies and Cupcakes or Soda Fountain I was glad she picked Soda Fountain because the ice cream was so cute online. Can you say sugar rush? We all shared it and couldn’t even finish it. I wasn’t a fan of their ice cream, but it was pretty and the birthday girl definitely enjoyed it.
Because of the weather we did not get to go to the arch, but I think we all had an amazing time overall. We can now cross Missouri off of our 50 states to visit. I really like doing the index cards too, and I can’t wait to do it again! Kamaya says she wants to keep doing fun things for her birthday, I guess the party must continue! Maybe it'll make me forget that I have a 5 year old.
❤️❤️I LOVE THISSSSS!
